I am old fashion guy. I will ask for simple tachikui udon/soba (立ち食いうどん・そば) place, make sure they have zarusoba (ざるそば) and curry udon (カレーうどん).

I saw on Japanese news that number of tachikui udon/soba places in train stations are adding tables and making sit down place, still self-serve. But those places which converted to table setting has seen increase of female customers and some has saw close to 30% increase in sales.

Not just Narita airport, but also city of Narita is serious about keeping Narita airport as Haneda increases international flights. Current city of Narita will not exist if there is no Narita Airport. There are many full time and part time jobs directly at Narita airport and also related to airport business. There will be no reason for all those hotels without Narita airport. Without airport there is no reason for large shopping center, because there won’t be that many people living at Narita if there is no jobs there.

At same time, Air Asia Japan is closing door as far as name is concerned, isn’t? News mentioned that load factor of Air Asia Japan is lower than expected. All Nippon Airways will purchase all remaining share from Air Asia and going to rebrand as holly owned airline of All Nippon Airways. Speculation is that Air Asia Japan will become part of Peach.

Is this mean Jetstar Japan is doing better than Air Asia Japan?
