Why does the entire plane need to know when every soup sandwich presses the call button? And why is the volume of said chime set at maximum? You would think that the notification would be at the FA seats or near the galley instead of the entire PA system. I have experienced the same anger as the OP and wanted to jam my fist into the overhead speakers after the n-teenth time.
