AF Luggage didn't arrive
Oh, I fully agree. In general it is not advisable to take luggage at all, precisely because it could get lost. And of course the garment bags only make sense if you can actually hang them on the plane. But try doing that on a monoclass domestic flight from Paris to Nice or Toulouse (Done that, been there, and they forced me to squeeze my garment bag into the overhead rack because the only space they had on board was of course for the crew's on stuff).
But back to the original question: certain things simply cannot be taken on board as hand luggage. So the airline assumes that a toothbrush and a TShirt will suffice? I don't expect them to be super generous for every passenger, but for the most loyal and preferred customers they could do a little more, can't they? Hence my question about whether treatment was identical for top tier cardholders and other passengers. I am concerned when I hear Platinums report that all they get is an oversized T-shirt.
