Question UuA (after booking) with Infant not possible

I'm sure the answer is to call up BAEC to get this fixed but I was wondering if anyone has been in this position and got it fixed by calling up. Mrs, Mstr Steve_ZA and I have a WTP booking for a months time and it looks like CW availability might open up, but when I click on the UuA link in MMB the following message pops up: "Sorry, you can't upgrade this booking with Avios because not all the passengers executive club numbers are present in the booking. Please add the missing membership numbers before continuing with the upgrade."

This is correct because the Passenger information section in MMB also helpfully states: "You cannot add infant Frequent Flyer details on ba.com"

Does this mean they can add his number to the booking over the phone so I can complete the UuA online or would I have to call up to UuA and pay the fee?
