LHR arrivals lounge double standards

I enjoyed the arrivals lounge in LHR last week upon arriving from NYC.

My guest and I truly enjoyed the breakfast and smashing showers available in the complex.

Imagine my frustration when after taking a domestic flight from LBA back to LHR I was told that only ONE guest would be allowed arrivals lounge access!

As a gold card holder this is hugely disappointing and frankly smacks of double standards.

Either offer the perk of +1 across all BA lounge products, or don't offer it at all.

I simply wanted a plate of delicious kippers to see me right for a busy day in London.

In the end, I had to leave my guest out on the landing whilst I stuffed my pockets and bags full of croissant, brioche and miniature drink cans to consume on the way into town.

I dare say I took a few more than had the lounge dragons simply have allowed my companion to enter with me. Absolutely ridiculous.

It is also utter nonsense that this "arrivals" lounge closes at 2pm!

BA has arrivals well into the evening at LHR and on countless occasions I have has to forgo this Executive Club benefit.

BAEC need to address these ridiculous inconsistencies ASAP.
