Am I connecting passenger for YYZ-YUL? I was in that situation once, and they called my name at the gate, and then said "oh sorry, we didn't mean to call your name".
I can`t believe that you would try to steal a seat from a deserving crew member. For YYZ-YUL and YYZ-YOW flights you should just assume that all upgrades will be going to crew. They seem to clear in the opposite direction though...
