I have not stayed at the property, but might know something useful about the town: Sárvár is relatively interesting compared to other Hungarian towns of similar size. The town centre is nice for a walk, there is a spa (this is the main attraction; the spa is not bad, but there are better ones in Hungary), a castle and an arboretum. Lake Balaton, the Balaton-Felvidék National Park and the Őrség National Park are not too far, but the town is certainly not ideally positioned for a visit to either of these. Kőszeg and Sopron are cities in the region that may be worth a visit. Szombathely is the nearest major town, but it's a pretty bland place.
