this is my first post here (but I read this forum since a while).
I booked a ticket for my wife in Y from Milan to Melbourne (and on the way back from SYD to MXP via BKK). It's a flex ticket, EK92+EK406.
I'm travelling in business and I wanted to upgrade her. Until now, I could upgrade only DXB-MEL (45000 miles). From Experflyer, I can see that the business class on EK92 is quite empty.
What do you think I should expect? The possibility to upgrade at the airport? How many miles? The EK calculator tells me that MXP-MEL is 62500 miles for the upgrade, I already spent 45k, so should be 17.5k?
