I think breakfast is hardest meal to change a routine for most people. It is easier to experiment with lunch or dinner for most people. Sure they have interesting pastry in Japanese bakery. I guess melon-pan is just too normal? I do like yakisoba-pan and curry-pan! But pastry with cod roe and mayo is even little out there for Japanese standard, isn't it? I can understand cod with mayo like tuna salad. How many of you have natto (納豆) for breakfast when in Japan? I do like melon-soda but again it is too normal.
