Question on connection baggage transfers: AS to UA
We are scheduled for an AS RT paid F tix SEA-LAX-MEX this coming holiday.

We are contemplating not using the LAX-MEX AS leg and paying for a flight from LAX to BJX( Leon) on United that would place us 2 hours closer to our final destination on landing.

My question: if we can drop that one LAX to MEX AS leg ( I am not sure AS will) will our luggage have to retrieved at LAX, hauled over to Terminal 7 and re-checked on United....or can we check it in Seattle and theoretically not see it again until BJX?
