The plot thickens. The bank is now threatening to incarcerate the customer. The owner, Mr. Tinkov claimed on his Twitter page that it was a matter of principles to them and that Mr. Agarkov would receive 4 years in prison rather than 24 million rubles (I'm not making this up). Mr. Agarkov in turn has announced he will add a defamation suit to the monetary damages, but that he is leaving Russia as soon as possible because he fears for his life.
