I am thinking that it might make sense to switch to the Aegean mileage programme once I get past 100K. As I understand it, I need only crack 20K in year 1 then 15K annually thereafter to get Star Gold status with A3.
It kind of seems too easy to me, however. The only downside I can think of is not getting the 15K-20K credit annually towards UA lifetime status.
Am I missing something on this -- can anyone see flaws in my thinking? Thnks.
20K a year only if you buy high fare tickets V class and above, W/S/T/L/K/G only earn 50% miles.
So basically if you buy W class or lower tickets you need to to fly 40K miles to be A3*G.
