I booked 4-segment RT flights for 5 family members BOS-ORD, as a GM with Explorer card, on two different flights on the way down, all on the same flight on the way back. For the first flight, I ended up with 1 PNR (3 people) with X/XN/XN/X. For the second flight, through a different hub, two separate PNRs ended up with XN/X/XN/X. I then moved one of the PNRs from the second flight to a different flight on the way down, and ended up with X/XN/XN/X.
