Showed up on a Monday PM at Caesars having booked a "classic room" at over $100/night (pricy for Vegas). Subtly offered the "$20 sandwich" and asked if there were any complimentary upgrades. It was quickly pushed back to me. I was brusquely told that the hotel was "96% booked" (mid week in the brutal Vegas summer? Must be booked over 300% on the weekends!

) and there was nothing he could do. Then told me that a "classic" room had no (not bad, but NO view), was very small and had a tube tv. Then, when I asked what my options were, I was offered every single type of upgrade and tower...for a price. First time in Vegas where the polite request has been snubbed. Paris, Flamingo, Palazzo, MGM Grand, Wynn have ALL happily upgraded us in similar situations (midweek in the summer). Caesars Palace- never again.
