The GridIt system comes in a bunch of different sizes. I have 3 in my carry on bag on a regular basis. The smaller ones go into some of the smaller pockets where I would normally just stuff a bunch of cables and chargers. The largest one goes in the vertical documents area of my bag where I could put a pad on f paper,etc.. This is a bag that will hold a tablet or laptop, a GPS, a portable Bluetooth speaker and other miscellaneous things and still fit in the overhead bin of a CRJ regional jet. I am not sure if GridIt takes up less space or not but the real purpose in using it is the organization. I do not have to pull out a pile of tangled cables to find what I'm looking for.
