After being 2P since 04 I did not re-qualify in 2012 so I've been a GM this year with zero United flights (two flights after 03/03 was enough).

So, Mrs. Boiflyer and I are burning our miles. Been watching Award tickets for this weekend. Inventory opened up this morning and grabbed 3 Awards. Interesting that out of 4 segments, 2 are in XN and 2 in X.

Maybe United makes XN available to GMs close in. I thought it might be worth reporting on FT.

As a side note, traded in my Platinum EQM-earning Chase card for the Club Card. Saved us $240 on the close-in Award booking fees on 3 tix, and gives us 4 free checked bags. We'll check 2 so that saved us $100. So we essentially paid 50 bux this year for a Club membership and Premier Access. Now, just gotta grab some TODs from some 1Ks .
