As you're in transit does that mean you can avoid the normal MIA immigration?

One advantage is that you'll collect a heap more TPs. It would have been 140 on BA but will be 210+40 on BA/AA. The AA 'business' is the same as AA 'first' but on that route they call 'first' 'business' and give you 20 less TPs.
