Hi everyone

So this is a bit strange.

Im trying to leave the UK for Shanghai and both Skywards (call centre) and online tell me that its blocked out completely. First available date is 12th August. The problem is - i've been keeping an eye out for the past few days and it seems that Emirates is opening up seats 3 - 4 hours before departure meaning you only have a few hours notice before you can book.

What is going on, never experienced this in my 15 years of travel with EK.

Surely its not wise to block economy seats and sell business seats as vast majority will go to another airline than pay the business class fare... so it doesn't make entire business sense why EK would block the seats and only open them a few hours before departure.

Anyone having the same issue when trying to book the departure from UK?
