the second link you provided. an example where they used this on me was PVG-BKK-ZRH... all on Thai. the agent wouldn't allow it without deeming bkk a stopover (even though it was for 8 hours) because on the day I wanted to fly, Thai via bkk didn't show as a valid connection to ZRH on the star booking tool (i didnt believe the agent but sure enough when i checked it wasn't! it did every other day if the week though)

I haven't really been helpful... all this forum can do is try and explain why an itinerary has been rejected... sometimes even the agents get confused as to the exact reason why.

all you can do is try and see what they give you. if they reject it then this forum can offer suggestions how to modify so it gets approved.
