I saw these at Loblaws too. They are, in fact, $100 Marriott Travel Cards for $80 (including tax). The sales person did not know how long they would be on sale for. Card does not expire and you cannot receive MR points when using the card. I read the T&C's and they explain that you cannot get change after using the card and it may not be used with corporate group bookings (AAA), senior rates or associate rates. I bought a couple anyway since I will use them.
Was excited and was going to rush out to get some. But this condition kills it. It's like they don't allow it for any promotional rate which most people will book with. I booked 3 rooms with CAA/AAA rates.
It's NO GOOD if you have to pay rack rate in order to use these GCs.
