I'm so sorry for all your trouble. Being without your lenses really is the worst part. I hope that LAN steps up and finds your bag but if they don't remember that you may have lost luggage insurance if you purchased your ticket with a credit card.

But what I really wanted to recommend is contacting your optician right away and having them read you (or send by email) the RX. These prescriptions are an international language and any optical shop anywhere in the world can read them. At least then you could go and get a pair of inexpensive glasses made quickly and hopefully this would go a long way to salvaging your trip.
