not exactly NYC, as UA continues to fly JFK-SFO and JFK-LAX instead of moving those flights to Newark. CO used to tout EWR as New York and various Flyertalkers swear up and down that EWR is actually more convenient for many New Yorkers yet even UA, which pretty much abandoned JFK, continues the ps routes to JFK.
The ps route exists for a category of ultra-premium traveler that continues to cling tenaciously to the idea that "EWR ain't NYC, and hell if I'm going to Jersey!"
The existence of two ultra-tailored routes is hardly an endorsement.
