My experience is taxis generally aren't.
Of course cabbies are happy to make such a stop as they will keep the meter running. Not rocket science there. As for car service, talk to the dispatcher in advance to alert the driver of such a stop. Again, not a big deal. You'll just be expected to pay for that extra stop.
