One way drop fee -

Yes, such fees exist, and they can be steep, too.

I"m not familiar with one way car rentals on priceline, or those two cities . . .

but the "drop charge" usually IS posted on the estimate (but maybe not on priceline?).

Also, sometimes two nearby cities are considered part of a larger area and do not have drop charges.

Florida, like Arizona and maybe some other cities with seasonal tourists, sometimes has discounted one-way car rentals. Usually this entails driving the vehicles out of the state when the toursist season is over, and driving them back when the tourist season begins. Probably wouldn't apply in your case, with both cities in state, and the snowbird season not yet happening.

Lastly, sometimes there are codes that you can use in making the reservation that override the drop fee. Not sure if this would work in your case, or if booking via priceline.
