My CP status also has not yet become active automatically (only 4 days for me though).
How long did it ultimately take for your CP to become active? Did points show as CP and it wasn't active or did you get the points and we waiting for them to be reflected in the CP balance?

It ended up taking a little over 2 weeks for the CP status to say earned and for me to get the "congratulations" email. It was much quicker in 2011 - they must have been inundated at the beginning of this year and not expecting it.
The points showed relatively quickly (~2 days). They showed as CPQPs as soon as they posted. And, the CP status bar showed at 100%. I simply waited for it to show as active/earned.
