Per Delta's check-in requirements at
http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_...irements.html:
"Additionally, you are required to be at the gate and ready to board at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time."
The email response I got from Delta said:
"Passengers are required to be present at the boarding gate 15 minutes prior to the originally scheduled departure time of the flight."
I find that interesting. Where did the word "originally" come from? If a flight is delayed, does that change the
scheduled departure time? Sounds like a reasonable interpretation to me.
(And to respond to an earlier post: I wasn't specifically asking for compensation in any of the complaints I sent. I was complaining about
the policy itself. As for my original post, please do me the favor of thinking about it this way: if this happens again in the future and I
don't get on the flight, and I'm
not offered compensation, do I have any recourse?)
