Sounds similar to my experience at Fairmont. My habit is to printout a copy of each reservation and take it with me just in case something happens. So far, the inconsistencies have been turn down service at the Regency in Orange County. The adjustments were made at the end if my stay without my asking. Other discrepancy was GP posting correct stay and points credit. Had to call in and get everything adjusted.

Regarding rates, I noticed lower rates on the Internet during my stay And called the front desk and they readjusted the rates for me. The rep on the phone said usually they don't do this, but went ahead and changed the rate for me.
