I took the same as a Gold - on reading the fine print, I realized that they were marketed as "noise reducing" headsets by Emirates, but I read them as "noise canceling" as that is what I was expecting as a 'loyalty' gift/ bonus. They are still lying in my drawer and I haven't used them at all to comment on their sound quality, but by the looks of it, doesn't seem much different than the 'el cheapo' headsets you get on ebay.
