And I have never seen three J reward seats on YYZ-SCL. The best way to do it is two grab two J seats, pay for a flex ticket and upgrade. I've never had an upgrade not clear, even in the holiday season, at the old elite status.
If you're 100% sure it will clear, then why not just pay J points for the third seat in Y, and do standby at the gate?
