If this appeals to you it is super!
I got some emails from BA saying "Mum wants you to visit" with the Indian woman shown in the advertisement and offering a $300 discount.
Perhaps BA know something about my genetics that I don't, because I am not from India, nor my relatives, our name is not Indian, and I look as far from Indian-looking as possible.
During a call to BA to book a ticket, the rep mentioned that the ticket with my family name "must be for my dad!" My father passed away a long time ago.
It is interesting that BAs marketing and ticket sales are trying to gain customers by using emotional family connections, but when they make mistakes as with me, they appear silly and out of touch. Why would I want to talk to a ticket rep about my dead father, who they mentioned out of the blue? or visit an Indian mother that I am quite sure I don't have?
