As a government employee, I wonder if it’s really worth it to get a hotel card. The reason I ask is because gov employees already get a huge discount on stays and often free breakfast and internet as part of the stay (90% of Hilton's I stay at do this as part of a Gov package). So, aside from the 2 free nights you’d get with the Hilton Reserve Card, I am not too sure if it’s worth the credit pull and annual fee. As for points, I’d just use the Sapphire (2x travel points offer) to book the rooms. Perhaps gov employees are better off going for airline cards since there are no gov discounts there. Thoughts?
