Gunnar, OK, and you should also reread my posts and his attack on me too.

The original KLouis post was about Lufthansa/Austrian class P and similar, so I replied in a chatty and friendly way. He responded to my post in a nit picking know all way. He chose to attack (or analyse if you prefer) almost every point I made with quotes from my email followed by his put downs - this is not encouraged as a way to welcome new members.

He was (perhaps) offended I mentioned that Class P, which is a deep discount business fare, can sometimes be an upgrade from an economy ticket. I know this because he replied that he paid 2000 euros for the trip. I did not intend to insult him with my Class P comment so I will be ultra cautious when posting in future. Yet why did he credit miles to Aegean when he knew half his trip (Lufthansa) would get him 0 miles? He got 200% by mistake and mentioned it here - thus risking Aegean reading his post and deleting all these miles. In his reply to me he claimed there was no mistake and I should check the M + B award chart. He refused to apologise to me and instead said "I give up".

In his next point he again said "there was no error" (ie the Lufthansa 200% award on M+B for Class P).

I never said that Thai did not "map" to a different fare when on a Turkish ticket, so no need to tell me this point by point again. As of now I still do not know what "map" means however it seems obvious. As I stated though, how can classes be mixed on a single ticket without altering the contract integrity of ticket change rules? One rule for airlines and another for the paying public. I paid for Class T but was sold something less. I have only twice had this experience and both times was when using live travel agents, who perhaps gouge extra profit by tricks like this.

Nor did I argue with KLouis in any way until his petty attack. I do not know his intentions when he did this. Maybe KLouis works for Aegean, or is a very loyal customer or shareholder, and has put me down as I dared to tell the truth about bad service at Aegean. I waited several months for my gold card unlike many happy campers here. I also had a poor experience when getting an award ticket. In all cases multiple phone calls and multiple emails.

I have had this experience before, years ago, on a marriage agency board. I told the truth about only my own experience, and was violently attacked by all the trolls who own and run marriage agencies. Naturally I gave up and never posted again - so guess who controls marriage agency boards - honest customers or those that run and work for such places? A man in Australia recently lost his job for posting hundreds of messages to Trip Advisor praising his own hotel chain as a fake customer while posting fake stories about bad experiences at other hotels.

I notice on these threads that Aegean gets many positive compliments which do not always match my own experiences. Yet I have no complaint about the gold card, FC check in, extra luggage and lounge access. Like all things too good to be true, this gold card deal is matched (or mapped) with several disadvantages such as sketchy service, more expensive tickets to earn miles, and difficult redemption by telephone. Lastly there is the country risk, and "size of business risk". That is why I redeemed most of my A3 miles.
