I guess the OP has left town by now, but I made this exact trip last December. The taxi ride on a Sunday morning was indeed a swift and inexpensive 45 minutes. My vote would also be MagLev on a business day, but Sunday leaving the city is easiest in a taxi. The highest speed MagLevs don't leave until a little too late for BA168 on weekends anyway.
In hundreds of trips between Jing'an and PVG, it has taken me more than an hour exactly once.... and, that's because there was a bad accident on one of the highways. Traffic seriously isn't much of an issue. The taxi/bus almost always beat the taxi/subway-Maglev combo.
