The
Jan Jesenius operates with Hungarian cars (+ one German car), built in the 1990s. Compartment cars are not necessarily old, and the
Jan Jesenius has mostly open-plan cars and one or two equally modern ones with compartments. It is difficult to book on the Czech website from abroad; the German site works better, at least for trips beginning or ending in Germany. Is "the West" you refer to western Europe or the U.S.? The Hungarian first-class cars are the equal of any in western Europe.
