Thanks for the entertaining trip report.

I too have spent some good quality time at the Bucharest airport in my youth - got stranded there for 16 hours about 30 years ago due to a mechanical issue on an Air Tarom flight. It's not the most comfortable place to spend time, especially when you're not planning on staying there......

I hope the airlines fleets have improved since then - everything was falling apart when I took the trip.
