Original packaging is really not designed for the rigors of being flown in a commercial plane, and the rough ground handling that can entail.

Considering this appears to be a roughly $1,200 machine, I would ship it with additional packaging via UPS/FedEx/USPS with proper insurance.

And, as noted, boxes are apparently not allowed anyways.
