I recently stayed at the Hyatt in NY, booked through BA Holidays. I called the Gold Passport (Hyatt equivalent of HH and SPG) line to enquire, they said nope I could not use my benefits, I then emailed the GM of the property and he was able to sort out a suite upgrade. I also had access to the club lounge.
