(And for the record, I am neither an RJ fan nor a huge UA defender. But the neverendin double standard of "everything UA does is bad while everything AA/DL does is good" is getting tiresome, especially when people will be contortionists in their reasoning to keep that drumbeat going.)
i challenge you to go fly that SFO-AUS redeye on the CR7 and then see if you agree with the "drumbeat"
1000+ mile E135/145 flights and 1500+ mile CR7 flights (including redeyes!) are vastly different than 300, 1000, or 1500+ mile flights on a E175.
