For an upcoming trip to PHX, I had initially reserved a Ford Explorer-class SUV from Budget. With PL coupons the price was a not-unreasonable $450 for 6 days.

I checked carrentals.com again to see if prices changed, and lo and behold Advantage Rent a Car now offers a compact Toyota Rav4-class SUV at $208 for 6 days. So I made the switch.

That being said, I have never rented from Advantage before and there is curiously little about them online even though they appear to be an established brand (at least they're one that I recognize as opposed to obscure regional or local players). Apparently they recently went from being Hertz's leisure/discount channel to being part of Franchise Services of North America's collection of niche rental brands.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has had any recent experiences with Advantage since the change in ownership back in December 2012, particularly in PHX? Any idea as to what the fleet looks like, comments regarding car condition, service, etc.? There is very little info on their website, and I'd be interested in knowing at least a little bit about what I'm getting into ahead of time.
