This is where the trip actually started going rather bad, in the very beginning. I was already cutting my turn around close with work on Monday but this was the beginning of the bad events. To start off, the AC was not working at all onboard, which in the summer in the early afternoon in Florida, makes sitting onboard a chore. After holding short for about an hour we finally took off for Atlanta.

After making what I thought would be an impossible connection, I was able to board my flight to Seattle after about 15 minutes on the ground in Atlanta. Only downside was I had to gate check my bag meaning I'd miss the ribbon cutting ceremony in Seattle for the inaugural. Other than that, the flight wasn't too bad, just spent most of the time reading some forums and watching CNN. But after around five hours we were almost in Seattle!

On final.

Taxiing to the gate with the plane bound to HND in view.
Upon landing in Seattle I met up with fellow FTer sky303 as he was meeting me there for our venture out to Tokyo. We made our way to baggage claim to get my bag but by time we got to the gate for HND the ribbon cutting had ended, but enough with the story, let the pictures do the talking.

The flight to Haneda was definitely one to remember. Not only did we receive a bag of gifts but the excitement of being on the first flight from Seattle made it feel special. The water cannon salute and special announcements made it even better. After a smooth and on time flight we finally made our arrival into Haneda where the story of my trip got even better…

Gate for Haneda.
