Eagle pilots are very angry, and it has everything to do with the E175s. Republic pilots will fly them, and that makes the Eagle pilots very angry.
The other reason that Eagle pilots are very angry is that Parker/Horton has already told them that Eagle won't get any new planes (all future E175s or CRJ900s will be flown by other airlines like Republic or Skywest or Mesa, etc) if the Eagle pilots do not agree to more concessions. Having just given concessions in the bankruptcy last year, the Eagle pilots are livid at Parker's unexpected ultimatum. They were blindsided.
That said, I have no idea whether their anger is resulting in any cancelled flights, as
HNL may have hit it on the head.
Unfortunately this happens more frequently at the end of the schedule month as pilots max out on hours.
Exactly. Happens at all airlines, especially in the summer when schedules are maxed out and summer weather disruptions are frequent.
