I don't see the sense in driving from Metro station to station looking for a parking spot. For example, right now at Vienna there's only 3 available spots out of 600+.
I would definitely have to take the Metro in the night I went to a game. The VRE would be OK but I'm on vacation, I don't want to get up that early.
Is there anywhere that is a combined VRE and Metro stop?
Parking n DC will be a ...... Are you sure you can't change hotels and be walking distance to metro?
It's been a while but I would use a couple of garages near foggy bottom /GW around K street and 21st.
I'd have to do some research..but there may be a bus that runs from manassas to Viena metro station.
Going to a metro and gettng in that way is so much easier than parking in DC.
Friday most federal agencies will observe their furlough day so there will be less metro lot parking.
IIRC staying along I-95 in Springfield There are more options in terms of taking VRE in the am then return by metro to Springfield then bus back.
Along 267 there are bs routes and I think a few hotels have some sort of shuttle service like from Reston to the west falls church station. There are nbs lines that do run it frm park and ride lots.
It's been awhile...but I though there was a shopping center that was right near a metro station in Arlington or Alexandria that you could park and just walk and get onto metro. It could have been near pentagon city station.
