Just looked at the updated timetable and it's back to an A346 with dreaded overhead monitors for entertainment I believe.
What happened to the A333? It was supposed to be in service early March and before MIA, but MIA has daily A333s and ORD does not.
To make matters worse, this is an AA ticket, and there is no way (I repeat no way - and believe me I've tried) to pre-assign seats until we bowl up to the airport on the day. Computer says no apparently. Not good enough given I'm a OW Emerald.
I'm so looking forward to this flight.
Having bought an AA codeshare for ORD-MAD I can tell you that they can absolutely request seats. They cannot technically "assign" them but call and have them request seats and then call the US Iberia help line to make sure they are confirmed. They won't ever show up in the AA booking and it seems impossible to get an Amadeus code to look at it in Iberia's booking management site.
