Approved for two Citi AA cards back in November, haven't applied for a card in over 3 months.
Applied for the 50k link on Saturday and have been stuck at "further processing--will notify you in a week" since then. I've called reconsideration twice but rather than talking it through to an approval, they say they'll just notify me in a few days. It seems like an atypical application process compared to what others are saying... Anyone else run into this?

This happens often enough for those who are too impatient. Even with the best of credit, sometimes they take almost a week to make up their minds. It seems like rather than giving you the card immediately with some random amount of credit limit, they won't give it to you until they figure out the
exact amount of credit limit they're willing to give you (even if you wouldn't mind getting less).
The conspiracy theorists would theorize that it's to weed out AORers, since it allows them to delay the pull by a few days, increasing the chances of seeing all those other cards you just applied for at the same time as this one.
