Tried it myself on the $100 GC (why pay an extra $1.50 for 100 extra points?). Also got confirmation email from Amex immediately. Do any of the cashback sites work on Walmart.com for gift cards (I know it's probably excluded on all of them, but I'm asking if any have a loophole). I tried Discover (5%) and will report if positive.
