Thank you for the advice thus far. I should provide more information that maybe will help. I wanted to keep things around $2000 a day with food/wine and activities. Don't need to drink Petrus. Can go higher/lower, but want to feel like I'm getting a good deal, esp. with Virtuoso. Value is more important than price to me.

1. It'll be a romantic trip with the wife by ourselves. If there are too many children we'll feel bad for leaving him with the grandparents.

2. We like good food, though it doesn't need to be fussy.

3. We're from the US and speak a few european languages, so it'd be nice to not feel like the odd man out.

4. Want an out of this world experience and something to create an indelible memory. My thoughts: Taj could be nice, but it could be too cosmopolitan; same with One and Only. Banyan Tree could get claustrophobic, Como looked a little old.

5. While the resort should have nice snorkeling, I would be happy to take a boat to somewhere incredible.
