Not to be the lone voice of opposition related to the notifications not working, but the text notifications seem to work fine for me. I get notified about gate changes and flight delays pretty much as soon as the boards are updated, or at least within 5 minutes or so. For example, last Friday, I was notified at 1:20pm that my 5:30 flight was delayed until 6:10. And yesterday, I got a notification about an hour before my flight that there was a gate change.

I'll agree the WN's technology in nearly every area is woefully behind the curve, but this component seems to work ok for me, and I don't understand why, since it seems to be broken for nearly everyone else on FT.

PS: I also have TripIt Pro, these notification as for more proactive and forward "thinking", but nevertheless, the WN notifications do work for me most of the time.
