Hello All,

My 87-year-old father is booked to arrive on UA 1547 at ORD from LAX Aug. 23 at 5:30 PM and leave on UA 909 for AMS at 6:10. It looks like both flights operate from terminal 1. It's an award flight. He would normally fly E-. Can anyone suggest specific steps to increase his chances of making the connection? I figure an E+ upgrade would be a big boost, and if he can swallow his pride enough to arrange for help, that might help too.

[Edit:] He's mobile but moves pretty slowly.
