Getting ready for that next summer trip already! Had to use the FF miles to ensure a score the "Suite" flight on Etihad and am making my way to the Maldives... and then meandering back to the states somehow.

I was wondering if you could chime in on the most memorable Maldivian spots are.

TripAdvisor suggest Baros, Banyan Tree seem more memorable (though at 3k a night I may have to pass), FS is consistent, and Taj had these huge CN rankings.

But I know that the posters on here are more savvy than these sources, and won't tell me that the food is good (like multiple trip advisor reports claiming Le Tahaa had good food) when it is not, or that there's a feeling that the resort is scrimping.

I know: the weather isn't great there during June-Aug. Oh well. So back to the original question: I want an awesome, memorable and fun experience for the wife and I.
