I would ask them to convert the Delta card to a Blue from American Express credit card, which has no annual fee. This card earns Membership Rewards Express points, but when paired with your Platinum card they will be treated the same as if they were earned with the Platinum card. This will preserve your credit line, and give you some flexibility down the road if were to (for example) close your Platinum Card for a period to qualify for another new account bonus.
